Term 2 Week 4

Maths/Geography homework is to correctly record the home address and find out how far from school this is. Reading and Spelling as usual.

Term 2 Week 3

Maths homework involved students timing how many minutes it takes to eat dinner and then work out how much time would be spent eating dinner in one week. Year 3s were given their Maths Naplan practice booklets that we worked through last term to show parents the kind of questions students may encounter.

Term 2 Week 1

Maths homework this week is to work out how many school days there are this term & then work out how many play times. Reading and Spelling as usual, however, some students have now been given other work as part of their Spelling homework.

Weeks 8 and 9

Spelling and Reading as usual. All students have their Read, Write, Inc books plus books/novels borrowed from the library for reading.
Maths homework last week was to find odd and even numbers at home. This week we are looking at place value and students are asked to use their birthdays (day and month eg 26/3) to show the biggest number they can make using those numbers.

Week 7

Maths homework is based on measurement and students are asked to find 4 things that weigh more than 1kg and 4 things that weigh less than 500grams. Spelling and reading as usual.

Week 6

Math homework is based on the Geometry strand and students have been asked to find right angles at home. Spelling words and reading tasks as usual.

Week 5

Math homework this week is based on the Chance strand of mathematics and students have 3 questions to answer about the likelihood of events occurring. Spelling words are History based and students are expected to read each night.

Week 4

For Math homework this week the children need to make a list of as many 3D shapes as they can.
They also need to continue to read each night.

Week 3

Hi All,
This week the students have their reading book. We will be having a focus on reading group novels so we can discuss the stories, and work on our comprehension skills. Students should have recorded the reading for this week in their diaries.
This week for Math homework the students need to find the digital and analogue times of six activities they do at home.
